Abandoned vessels can be dangerous for both your health and the environment. Learn more about what to do if you spot an abandoned boat.

Narrator: Did you spot an abandoned boat? Don’t touch it!

Narrator: Abandoned vessels can be dangerous for both your health and the environment.

Visual: The abandoned boat is floating in the water. There are cracks and damage on the side of the vessel.

Narrator: There can be noxious gases or the vessel could sink and cause pollution.

Visual: Fumes are shown wafting into the air from a crack in the bow of the vessel. A red warning sign appears beside the fumes.

Narrator: Report wrecked, abandoned or hazardous vessels to the Canadian Coast Guard.
