North Pacific Coast Guard Forum
The North Pacific Coast Guard Forum was established in 2000. It is made up of the coast guards of:
- Canada
- China
- Japan
- Korea
- Russian Federation
- United States
The Forum provides an opportunity for international coast guards to share information and establish best practices in the North Pacific Ocean. The six member states also discuss:
- fishery enforcement
- maritime security
- illegal trafficking
- joint operations
- emergency response activities
The Canadian Coast Guard leads a team at the North Pacific Coast Guard Forum that includes Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Forum also includes an annual exercise. This week-long exercise allows member countries to work together toward a shared goal. It promotes:

- planning
- collaboration
